During the March 28 debate between Florida Governor Charlie Crist and House Speaker Marco Rubio on Fox News Sunday (hosted by Chris Wallace), the Governor spent a good chunk of his time out of the box and throughout attacking Rubio’s character and finances. Given that Crist was 20 points behind in a recent Rasmussen poll, that tactic might not be surprising. But it suggested that Crist, who joined hands with then Republican Pennsylvania Senator Arlen Specter in expressing public support for Obama’s stimulus package in early 2009, is incapable of debating Rubio on the issues.
Crist has three times the war chest of Rubio, and the primary is not until August 24. Floridians and non-Floridians who want change in the Senate might wish to visit the Rubio campaign website.
